The EME is a unique ensemble consisting of 7 musicians – flute, violin, violoncello and 4 synthesizers.
EME’s fundamental goal is to propagandise the eternal values of classical and contemporary music, as well as to establish the music synthesiser as a tantamount partner to the rest of the orchestral instruments. To this end EME rearranges symphonic works to be performed live by an electroacoustic ensemble and on the other hand performs and creates new electroacoustic pieces. In that way the EEM is setting up a bridge between “the classics” and the present day’s “electronic trends”.
EME realises the first world live performance of classical works combining synthesizers and acoustic instruments. It’s becoming possible pieces like “Bolero” for example, that usually require at least 80 musicians on stage to be performed by only 7 now, not omitting a single note from the original score. Thus thanks to it’s mobility the EME contributes to the democratisation of the eternal symphonic values by bringing them to small cities and remote districts where a symphony orchestra would normally never come.
The members of the EME are musicians with excellent musical abilities and recognised by national and international competitions.
The EEM has participated the next music festivals:
